The Saudi Entrepreneurship Community Day ( 26th January 2010 )

The Saudi Entrepreneurship Community Day is an event of Saudi BarCamp that will take place a on Tuesday 26 january 2010.

The events will broadcasted live on Internet to be watched by Saudi Youth who are interested in the field of Entrepreneurship and StartUps.

Location:

Mövenpick Resort Al Nawras on Jeddah Corniche (Google Map).

Attendance:

Everybody is welcomed. The events content is targeting Saudi youth (Male & Female) interested in Technology Entrepreneurship & StartUp field.

Saleh Alzaid Founded and developed untiny‪.‬com, a web service to expand tiny URLs.

Untiny currently serves more than 50,000 requests daily and has expanded more than 8 million URLs so far. More than 300 articles have been written about Untiny in different languages and it was featured in known computer news websites like PC Mag, Los Angeles Times, LifeHacker, Kim Komando’s website, Adobe INSPIRE Online Publication, and MakeUseOf.

Saleh also acquired TwtBase‪.‬com, a database of Twitter applications. TwtBase considered as one of important resources on the Internet for new Twitter app reviews.

Eng. Mansour Ali Al-Harbi is the Co-Founder and CEO of Samama Technologies.

Abdulrahman Tarabzouni

Abdulrahman is currently heading Google in Emerging Arabia and its expansion into new markets.

Prior to Google, Abdulrahman led different projects within Blueprint, Oracle, Morgan Stanley, and held a seat on Microsoft's Board of the Future. He founded a number of ventures and his last startup, Syphir, won the MIT $50K Arab Entrepreneurship Competition in 2009.

He was named by Arabian Business as one of the most influential 30 young leaders in the Arab World on the annual “30 under 30: The Next Arab Generation Leaders” list. He received both a BSc of EECS with an Economics concentration and a Masters of Engineering from MIT and is the first recipient of the MIT ASO Science and Technology Achievement award.

Mohammed Al-Kuwaiz

Mohammed El-Kuwaiz is co-founder and Chief Compliance Officer of Derayah.

He has over ten years of experience in the areas of financial services, strategy, law, investment, corporate governance and compliance. Mohammed was formerly a consultant with McKinsey & Company. While at McKinsey,

Mohammed worked extensively with a number of leading financial services clients, including Greenfield, developing and mature companies, on formulating strategy, developing business plans, establishing organizational structures, instituting performance management systems, and supporting with project management and implementation.

Prior to McKinsey, Mohammed worked in investment banking and corporate finance with Samba Financial Group. Prior to that, he was a treasury dealer at Arab National Bank (ANB) in Saudi Arabia.

Mohammed holds Bachelors of Administrative Sciences with Honors from King Saud University in Saudi Arabia in 1998 majoring in Law (Valedictorian). He also obtained an MBA from New York University’s Leonard N. Stern School of Business in 2003, specializing in finance and entrepreneurship.
